Refund Policy and Procedure

1. Policy

Network Driving Consultancy (NDC) supports the right of candidates and/or employers to request a refund of course/booking fees in certain circumstances. This document details the policy and procedures put in place to ensure that they are dealt within a thorough and equitable manner.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all refund requests made to NDC by candidates or employers
and/or accredited course providers for all courses undertaken.

3. Refunds and Cancellations

a) Refund submission – course fees
i) Timescale

If a candidate was unable to attend a course citing for one of the reasons stated in
section b) below then either the candidate or the employer can make an
application for a refund which must be made within 24hrs after the course commencement
date/s to which the absence refers..

ii) Late refund requests
Requests received after a 24hrs day deadline will not be accepted unless there are
extenuating circumstances for the late submission. The decision to accept the late
request will be at the discretion of NDC

b) Qualifying reasons for post course refunds

A candidate will qualify for a 100% refund of the registration fee if they are
absent from the course for one of the following reasons:

  • if the candidate is ill or has medical grounds (supporting medical evidence may be
    requested);
  • if one of the candidates family is ill or has medical grounds (supporting medical
    evidence may be requested);
  • bereavement, funeral or inquest of a family member or close friend;
  • jury service (supporting evidence must be supplied);
  • service personnel who receive posting details after registration (supporting evidence must be supplied.
  • the candidate or employer has an expression of dissatisfaction or discontent with the service provided, or any situation that relates to NDC or NDC trainer.

c) Refunds or Cancellations prior to course commencement date:
In the event of a cancelation of the booking of a pre-paid course, a candidate or employer is eligible for a refund of the booking fees. In the event of a cancellation or none attendance of the booking a post paid course, the following terms apply:

  • A refund or cancellation of 50% of the course fee will be payable if cancelling 3-5 clear office days before commencement of the course date, and 100% of the course fee if cancelling 2 clear office days or less from course commencement date

If a candidate is absent from a course for one of the reasons stated in section 3b. The refund request must be made in writing and supporting evidence (where applicable) must be attached. Where a refund request is not accompanied by the supporting evidence, the applicant will be contacted. If the evidence cannot be provided, the application for refund will not be processed.

4. Refund application procedure

An application for a refund is to be made in writing to Network Driving Consultancy. The address can be found on the Contact Us page on the NDC website or at the foot of the Invoice. The application must contain the following information:

  • Date of application
  • Candidates name and address and contact telephone number
  • Employers name and address and contact telephone number (where applicable)
  • Course title and date.
  • Course address including the post code
  • Invoice date and number.
  • Reason for requesting a post course refund.
  • Enclosed supporting evidence.
